ABERDEEN SPORTS COUNCIL HONOUR FOR ALBION BOYS CLUB COACH
John Hill of Albion BC was awarded the Aberdeen Sports council' Coach of the Year Award for 2007. John was recognised for his achievement in guiding Albion BC 14's to Scottish Cup glory last year. His Albion team had a clean sweep of honours last season winning the ADJFA League, the Eddie Mannall Trophy and the SR Wood Trophy. This was the third occasion that John has managed to coach an Albion side the SYFA Challenge Cup glory. The first occasion was in 2001 when he was in charge of Albion 14's. In 2006 he guided the Albion 16's to a national triumph before last year he achieved a hat trick of SYFA Cups. These are not the only Scottish Cup successes that John has had having previously guided Albion teams to victory in the old Scottish Juvenile FA Cup prior to the formation of the Scottish Youth FA. John has demonstrated a clear dedication to Albion BC and has the ability to encourage guide his players to perform at the very peak of their ability. |
