Albion Boys Club Player Capped for Scotland Ryan Whelan of Albion BC 15's was picked to play for the Scottish Youth FA against the Republic of Ireland Picture below is Ryan together with the commemorative medal awarded to him in recognition of his International Honour.
"The
game was held at Penicuik Athletic juniors ground.
There was a massive crowd and I played the full game. The Republic of Ireland
were the better team in the first half but in the second half we were all over
them, but they just sneaked it with a goal ten minutes from the end. It was a
great day out and a great experience."
